Merry Christmas and Joyful New Yr
You may say, "Joyful Christmas".
Or, "Season's greetings".
"Festive greetings."
However we usually say, "(A really) Merry Christmas and Joyful New Yr".
The phrase, "Christmas", is usually shortened in casual writing to "Xmas".
"Festive" is an adjective to explain issues to do with Christmas. A casual adjective is "Christmassy".
Christmas is widely known by most individuals within the UK, though we should do not forget that not everybody does.
It's celebrated within the UK historically as a Christian pageant, however atheists have fun too.

Teams of individuals sing Christmas carols (songs)
Folks construct snowmen if there's sufficient snow

Father Christmas (or Santa Claus)
Father Christmas delivers presents by flying with reindeer and climbing down chimneys

Christmas lights / fairy lights
Presents / items on Christmas Day
Christmas dinner
Christmas pudding
Christmas visible device
Candle -- candles are sometimes lit every day within the countdown to Christmas.
(We even have particular calendars with goodies in.)
